Mumbai Yoga Teacher Got Scammed for Rs 3.36 Lakh by an Online Match

A woman residing in Churchgate, Mumbai, met a man named Amit Kumar on Tinder who claimed to be a doctor in Manchester. After chatting for a while on Tinder, they exchanged numbers and continued their conversations on WhatsApp. On April 25, the man informed her that he was sending her a gift. A few days later, she received a call from a courier company in Delhi, informing her about a gift and requesting payment for formalities. Believing it to be genuine, the victim ended up depositing Rs 3.36 lakh into various accounts before realizing it was a scam.
