Maxion is the UAE's first matchmaking app, which almost lost $250,000 in a European investment scam when some Swiss advisors offered them $1.75 million. They went to Europe to have a meeting and after spending $12,000 on a trip, they started to see red flags about this deal. The advisor demanded a $300,000 commission and asked to deal in cryptocurrency transactions. After further investigation into the case, it was revealed to be a scam with fake identities and companies. The company is now filing a report and has become more cautious about its future investors. Maxion continues to expand, focusing on new markets with its seed funding.
